Single Superphosphate (SSP)

Single Superphosphate (SSP) is a phosphorus source obtained from the direct reaction between ground phosphate rock and sulfuric acid, with high water solubility. Besides phosphorus (ranging from 18% to 21%, depending on the rock), it provides calcium and sulfur in sulfate form (readily absorbed), secondary macronutrients that strengthen crop growth. Fertilizing with SSP restores soil fertility and stimulates rapid root formation (P and Ca), producing more vigorous plants that are more resistant to water stress.
